Tell us a more about you ?

I am a lifestyle entrepreneur, confidence & self-esteem coach on a mission to teach people from all over the world how to become their greatest self.

As an accomplished trainer, I have extensive experience in delivering effective holistic career counselling and soft skill training to students, executives and other clients in person and to national and international clients. I can establish rapport with a diverse range of clients from new graduates to senior business leaders.

I firmly believe that to succeed, you need to sharpen your skills to maintain healthy career progress.

What was your dream as a child? What did you want to be when you were a child?

Growing up, I had about a billion different dream careers I wanted to undertake. I changed my mind based on whatever held my interest at the time–and as a kid. As I got older, my career ideas changed. I wanted to be Flight Attendant, an actress, a psychologist, a teacher.

I always wanted to have my own business and help others whichever way possible.

In which University did you go? Why did you choose this field?

I did my MBA in Human Resources Management from the International Institute of Special Education, India and currently pursuing my Certification in Adult Education.

How was your life as a Student? And the beginning of your work life?

I would say student life is the golden days of our lives. It’s a life full of excitement, free from all anxieties and worries. As a student, I was an extreme introvert and shy kid. But I was a confident and independent child. I was a person who naturally loves helping people and wants to make a positive difference in the world.

The beginning of my work life was a series of experiences, learnings and amazing encounters. I had started my first job in India with ICICI Bank as a Recruitment Coordinator in 2004 soon after my Internship. I joined there as an intern for 6 months after that I got permanent employment, these 6 months of training period was memorable for me. It was a very different experience, overwhelming. After working a while, we had formed an interns group there where we used work as a team. Our days used to filled with interviews, joining formalities, induction, daily walk-ins.

It taught me a lot about responsibility and the importance of working on a team. During my first job, I have developed skills, made connections, learned. My first salary was an achievement.

What are the values that brought you to want to mentor?

As I have mentioned earlier I always have that desire to help others, it’s a direct and efficient way to make a difference. we have faced our struggles as a student or entrepreneurs, and I can help others to avoid the same mistakes. I believe that we all should help make this world a better place for having been here and one of the best ways to do that is to pass along the knowledge, wisdom, and experience to others.

To me, the value of your life isn’t just what you’ve accomplished in your life but how well your influence improves the lives of others long after you’re gone.

Why have you been interested in contributing to the JCI project?

Joining JCI, will help me grow as a person, meet new people, impact our community and experience more. JCI has a desire for community development. I like the work they do to empower young people to create positive change and provide development opportunities. It is an organization that empowers young people to create positive change, JCI provides development opportunities for young people to enhance the skills that empower them to create long-term impact.

What would you say to students about enrolling in a Nonprofit organization?

I would say that the non-profit organization has a very important role to play in youth employment.

Non-profit organizations are well-positioned to offer youth meaningful jobs — they equip youth with skills and knowledge to tackle some of the most challenging issues of our time. They have a diverse group of employers in all areas of the country, providing opportunities where people want to live, and they work with and often employ individuals from the communities.Students will develop skills in the areas of problem-solving, analysis, communication, cooperation, ethical values, consciousness, and citizenship.

What message would you like to deliver to students as advice?

I would like to say always believe in yourself. Love yourself and your life for what it is and change it every time it doesn’t feel right. Chase your dreams without justifying it to anyone! As long as it matters to you. Do not blame others for what your life turns out to be. It is your responsibility, not theirs. Make mistakes, fail, laugh about it, stand back up, and try once more.

To conclude, could you create or share with us a Quotes that define your values, visions and missions you are pursuing in favour of the Toronto community and its Students?

The quote that I like is “Believe in your infinite potential.”

Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself.

Believe in yourself, your abilities and your potential. Never let self-doubt hold you captive. You are worthy of all that you dream of and hope for.
